cold hard truth to live by

i wish someone had told me that people , essentially...are in your life to get what they want...and the moment that this does not happen anymore...they simply fall away...i would not have changed a thing in all likely hood...however...that knowledge would have cushioned the fall...what really bothers me about the human conditioned...is not the proliferation of ass holes...that is just the way it is...but how hard they attempt to convince you that they are not...potentially leaving you in a very vulnerable position .
