how to get someone to like you

this fellow despised this other fellow for no particular reason...anyway...the despised guy captured the gentleman that hated him...locked him in a cellar and proceeded to torture him for a week or two...come the end of the second week...the severely beaten fellow pleaded so much that his torturer decided to stop torturing him and buy him a bucket of chicken...and which point...he was considered a beautiful soul by the pummeled individual...strange , is it not ???  or , should i say...us peoples...we change like the wind...and even more so like the wind...we don't put a lot of thought into it .
