the common one

we all have this in common...we want to buy a new hat...place it on our heads...and have others tell us what a nice hat it is...loving people...hate filled people...everyone...we all have this in common...but what does it mean??? only if we could give to others what we desperately need ourselves...if only people were people...instead of metaphors for what is missing inside us...if only love could rise from the ashes of despair and selfishness...then the way would not have to be found...it would find us .
